The Missions and Hunger Committee works to provide opportunities for the members of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church to reach out in missions to help others in the community and throughout the world.

Deidre and Dr. Mark Zimmerman are UMC missionaries to Nepal. Mark is a medical doctor serving in Kathmandu, Nepal, as director of the Nick Simons Institute. His Advance # is #10908Z. Deidre is serving in Kathmandu, Nepal, as Advisor to Nutrition Promotion and Consultancy Services. Her Advance # is 13171Z. Shenendehowa UMC is in a covenant relationship with them which means we provide $250 per month to help support them and their mission agencies.

The SUMC Volunteers in Mission Team will be in mission along with Jesus to Upper Sand Mountain Parish, Alabama rebuilding homes after the devastating tornados of spring 2011.
